Hamrosamaj.net wins INLS- Narayan-Jayanta Prasai Web Journalism Award, 2010

The Hamrosamaj.net is the winner of the International Nepali Literary Society (INLS) Narayan-Jayanta Prasai Web Journalism Award of 2010. The award is named after late Narayan Prasad Prasai and Mrs. Jayanta Devi Prasai. The sponsor of this award is litterateur Kamala Prasai. It was established in the memory of her late father and her mother who is currently in the Eastern part of Nepal.

The recipient of the INLS- Narayan Jayanta Prasai Web Journalism Award, 2010, the Hamrosamaj.net is based in California, USA and run by Mr. Dhruva Thapa. The award is given on annual basis. The www.Freenepal.com (Russia), www.nepaljapan.com (Japan), the www.sahityaGhar.com (UK) and www.samakalinsahitya (Belgium) have already received this award in the past.

The INLS- Narayan Jayanta Prasai Literary Web Journalism is the first Nepali electronic based journalism award. It is awarded to the web magazines that promote Nepali language and literature internationally.

The Award Committee chaired by Mr. Suman R. Timsina has announced the decision of web journalism award being awarded to the Hamrosamaj.net.
