Shree Pashupatinath Foundation, USA organized Interaction Program with His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma in Los Angeles , CA

It was a beautiful afternoon, filled with enthusiasm, excitement and lots of energy. The officers of Shree Pashupatinath Foundation, USA were happy to receive their own Nepalese Ambassador to USA HE Dr . Shankar Prasad Sharma in Los Angeles, California.

It was at the residence of Punnakhar “Rishi” Dhakal, Treasurer of Shree Pashupatinath Foundation, USA . He had gladly accepted the honor to take care of the responsibility to host Dr. Sharma at his El Monte Residence.

Foundation officers received Dr. Sharma with bouquet of flowers and the program was formally started by Foundation Vice President Shiva Kumar Adhikari. General Secretary of Foundation Prem Guragain, had presented a slide show, explaining Dr. Sharma about the brief history of Shree Pashupatinath Foundation, USA and the current as well as future plans of the Foundation.

After the slide show, Gokul Poudyal, Foundation Vice President, gave out welcome speech. Then, Punnakhar “Rishi” Dhakal, mentioned the names of donors for the Foundation. According to him, more than $70,000 has already been pledged and as soon as the bank account is opened, all the donors agreed to deposit the amount pledged. They were all happy and excited to contribute towards a great cause of the Foundation: Building a Community Center in Greater Los Angeles Area, Building Shree Pashupatinath Temple and Buddha Stupa.

Other speakers were: Veda Bhakta Joshi, Founder of America Nepal Society, California ; Engineer Kanhaiya Lal Kayastha. After their speech, HE Dr. Sharma thanked the Foundation officers and was happy to come to Los Angeles , to meet local Nepalese Finally, Bhakta Thapa, chairman of the Foundation, thanked Dr. Sharma for his valuable time and told everybody that Foundation activities were going in full speed and hoped to achieve the DREAM in less than 10 years.

Other officers who were present at this meeting were: Rajendra Siwakoti, Madan Pathak, Basudev Ghimire, Ganesh Bogati, Dinendra Bhattarai, Mukunda Dhungana and Beda Dawadi.

After the Foundation interaction program, Dr. Sharma took part in the Comedy Show by Manoj Gajurel, organized by Friends of Nepal, Los Angeles .

Nepalese living in Greater Los Angeles area were happy and excited to see HE Dr . Sharma, being there in Los Angeles , CA. Nepal America Ekata Samaj also organized an interaction program in Artesia , CA .
